~✿ Albright became the highest ranking woman U.S. history when she was named to the position of U.S. Secretary of State in 1997 by President Bill Clinton. Before that appointment, Albright was the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in 1993.
1993年時任美國駐聯合國全權大使及1997年克林頓執政時期擔任國務卿, 她也是美國史上首位任命女性的前國務卿。

Madeleine K. Albright for a conversation and book signing event in conjunction
with the exhibit Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection.
Read My Pins is a story and celebration of how one woman’s jewelry collection was used to make diplomatic history. Exploring the use of the pin or brooch as a means of personal and diplomatic expression and featuring a gallery of fascinating photographs, this unique, intimate, and revealing biography offers a whole new side of Secretary Albright.
